Kathryn Maxwell – Lucky

Lucky, Kathryn Maxwell

Lucky by Kathryn Maxwell

This screen print (with GLITTER!) is named Lucky and that’s exactly what I am. I recently visited the Mesa Arts Center Museum and saw their wonderful show of prints donated by kind artists for their annual benefit calendar.

The calendar has 12 prints in it, each month has an original artwork in a slip. I was quite impressed by the quality of the prints.

I just had to have this one by artist Kathryn Maxwell. Just had to. I don’t buy artwork often because, being an artist, I have rather a lot hanging about the house. Also lots in crates, ready to go here or there. But sometimes I see something I can’t live without. I just have to live with it.

So we brought it home. You must go see the show. Good things aplenty. Some calendar works are sold out. They’re for sale for $50. I know. I bought another, which I will post about soon.

I have a soft spot for the Mesa Arts Center, because they had a solo show of my works, Psychological Sightseeing a few years ago

Meanwhile, many thanks to Kathryn Maxwell for creating such a wonderful print and being so kind to benefit the Mesa Arts Center with it.

(Note: I just called the MAC and learned the show of calendar prints  came down today. If you are interested in the prints, call (480) 644-6567.)
